EMME DESIGN was founded in 2009 by Melynda Mannix after her tenure at Starwood Hotels and Resorts where she worked on the global brand design team as an integral part in the launch of multiple design packages including both aloft and Element Hotels. In founding the firm, her goal was to leverage her knowledge of design packages that could easily be rolled out while also having a deep appreciation for uniquely customized designs speaking to specific spaces and locations. This could offer clients a streamlined design process with results that didn’t feel diluted, repetitive or unoriginal.

Melynda believes in simple but thoughtful design, where value is seen in the unexpected natural beauty of the elements in a space or object and the marriage of material elements and spatial architecture. On our projects, this philosophy is used as the fundamental approach to the design.

​We offer full service interior design services specializing in branded experiences for boutique hospitality and commercial spaces and commercial grade interior products. We work with clients to create customized solutions for conversions, renovations and new builds as well as product launches and flagship releases.

Clients include Origins, Baccarat Hotels, 1Hotels, aloft, Element Hotels, Intercontinental, Hilton and Marriott. Projects range in scale from 2500 sf to 200+ room Hotels in primary and secondary markets.
